Today, I am wishing a very happy 10th blogiversary to Jenn Shurkus, The Creative Chick! She's throwing a blog hop party for this special occasion and I decided to play along.
The rules of the challenge are to find a card that Jenn created during the past 10 years of her bloggin' life and CASE it. I looked back through the archives and found this adorable card with a cat and dog and rainbow chevron pattern. I love chevron patterns, and I don't give my Lawn Fawn stamps enough love, so I felt inspired to pull them out for the occasion.
Here is Jenn's card from September 5, 2014:
And here is my recreation:
I just LOVE all the little critter from Lawn Fawn, and these two are no exception! The banner and sentiment are also Lawn Fawn. The chevron background is from Hero Arts and I inked it up with Distress Inks. After I stamped and die cut the banner, I left it in the die and used inking tools to ink it up with the same colors as my background panel.
I popped up the critters and banner with foam tape and adhered the entire panel onto a black mat. I used a black Pearl Pen to add the little black dot accents. Oh! And the critters are colored with Copic markers.
I think I'm going to add this card with a few others that I'm sending to Simon Says Stamp for their recent Call For Cards.
See ya' around!
