Release Day 5 with Papertrey Ink

The challenge for day 5 is to take a card that I wasn't very happy with and recreate it.

This is my original card.

Overall, I'm just not that thrilled with this card.  The background seems too plain and the flowers are too monotone.

Here is my recreation.

I think this card turned out so much better!  It has lots of texture, color and dimension.  Much more interesting to look at than the original.

Both cards feature the Rosie Posie and Rosie Posie Step 2 stamp sets.

Release Day 4 with Papertrey Ink

The challenge for day 4 is to download a free bird house template and decorate it.  Such a cute idea!

Here is the birdhouse I created.  I kept it pretty simple because I'm not feeling the best and didn't have the energy to get super fancy.

The flowers and bird are made with Papertrey stamps and dies from Don't Forget To Write and Petite Pots.  The roof was made using a Spellbinder die set and the perch is a piece I cut from a paper straw.

All papers are from Papertrey Ink as well.

My Favorite PTI Floral Set

The challenge for release day 3 is to use your favorite PTI floral stamp set.  I think the one I have used the most over the years is Rosie Posie and Rosie Posie step 2.

Here is a card that uses them both.

Celebrating 10 Years with Papertrey Ink!!!

I've been on a long hiatus thanks to the complications of life, but I've been sitting at home the past 3 days fighting a cold and thought I'd sit down to blog a few cards.

Papertrey Ink is celebrating their 10 year anniversary with contests and prizes, so I'm here today to get in on the fun.

My card uses the Papertrey Ink Bitty Butterflies stamp set and cover plate die.  I also used ink and paper from PTI and the sentiment comes from another PTI stamp set called Quilled Elegance.

Best wishes to the staff and design team at PTI!  Happy Anniversary!!
