A Triple Challenge Post!

I have a card to share today that I'll be entering into the following three challenges:

My Favorite Things Color Palette Challenge
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge
Papertrey Ink March Blog Hop Challenge

So without further delay, here's the card I've created.

I began by die cutting and stamping some butterflies from the MFT Blissful Butterflies set using die inks, and then I stamped over them with VersaMark ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder to add that "high gloss" look for the PTI March Blog Hop challenge.  [Unfortunately, the glossy embossing didn't show up in my photos]  :(   I don't have any MFT inks so I used Pear Tart from Memento and Lavender Moon and Aqua Mist from Papertrey Ink, along with Classic Kraft cardstock for the MFT Color Palette Challenge.

I picked out that adorable ledger paper and another gorgeous patterned paper from a cute 6x6 paper pad.  I used a Spellbinders die to die cut the strip on the left side of the card to add a little extra detail.  The sentiment panel was cut with a Flourishes die from this set.  The sentiment itself is from the Lil' Inker Sun Sentiments stamp set.  I inked up the edges of each piece for the card front with PTI Chamomile ink before adhering everything together.

I intend to give this card to a special girl at work for her birthday, but it could easily be used as a Mother's Day card as well - just use a different greeting on the inside according to the occasion - therefore I'm also entering it in the SSS Wednesday Challenge.

I wanted a little more glossiness on this card, and I attempted to create my own enamel dots, but that was an epic fail!  So I settled for some pretty pearls from my stash instead.  :)  At least you can see the shine on the pearls in photos!  [I'm still disappointed the butterflies don't look glossy, but o-well]

Over all, I love this card.  It's one of those cards that turned out just exactly how I envisioned it in my head.
Have a happy hump day tomorrow!  TTFN
